This is the first blog post for Sir. Realist Designs! But before I start, I would just like to say I am not the best writer. My grammar can be very bad at times and my head can be all over the place. Yes, I am a surrealist, so I apologize in advance! Throughout my weekly blog post I will try to keep you up to date on what's going on here in my art studio.
My Art Life
Living an art life is a crazy way to live. Every day new inspirations come and go. Creating artwork is a continuous process (I always keep a note pad for ideas). For me, art is something I simply can't live without. It is my outlet of pure freedom. As we all go through life, we come upon many challenges. For me, creating artwork is a way to let out all emotions, to stand up and express my voice in the world. Being an artist to me is not a job, it's a love. It is living and feeling everything life has to offer and expressing it to others. I wake up in the morning and pour myself a cup of coffee. I walk into my studio, turn the music on, and continue where I left off the night before. Once I get locked into a piece, all lines of communication are cut off. When I'm standing inside the moment of creation, time will just stop. The daily stress of life is all blown out the window. It's one of the purest moments of solitude where I can tune into all the ideas that are flowing throughout my mind, like a river rapid! As my mentor would say, "that zen moment".
I am addicted to creating, it's embedded inside my soul. Sir Realist is the chemical alchemist, turning emotions into visual stimulants, bringing dreams into existence.
See you next week.
